From early on we’ve had a customer whose entire attack profile suddenly shifted. The alerts were confusing and nothing seemed to add up. When we picked up the phone and asked what on earth was going on they explained that they had become a major supplier to Critical National Infrastructure overseas. Overnight they were dealing with a completely different set of threats and it had thrown our SOC for a loop. They didn’t think to tell us and we didn’t think to ask.
That was the moment we vowed to never be caught off guard again. We put multiple steps in place to make sure we always understand the business context as well as we possibly can. YBIOB grew out of that promise.
